Converting Decision Tables from PDF to OpenRules

There is a free tool called “pdftoexcel” that allows you to convert tables from a PDF format to Excel. This tool can safe you a lot of retyping if you have many rules tables in PDF and want to convert them to Excel-based OpenRules decision tables. I tried to convert this PDF document

The converter quickly produced the following Excel document:

Now it is easy to finalize it as a valid (and executable!) OpenRules decision table by simply merging columns A, B, and C in the 3rd row and then columns A and B in the 4th and 5th rows. Read more about free PDF to Excel conversion at http://www.pdftoexcel.org.
